This moon is full at 3.12 Pisces on August 26th at 7:56 am
This Sunday's full moon is part of a kite formation with Uranus in Taurus, Saturn in Capricorn, and the Sun in Virgo. At the same time, both rulers of Pisces, Jupiter and Neptune, are trine each other. These are beautiful aspects for a lunation that marks the very end of Mars retrograde, and the end of a very hot, sometimes frustrating, summer.
Water, the element of Pisces, is the element of renewal and healing. After the cuts and scrapes you may have sustained from a summer full of eclipses, plus Mars retrograde with Mercury retrograde at the same time, we could use the healing waters of a Pisces moon to wash away some of the pain. This full moon also features a grand earth trine, so it's not just water. As I head up to the green state of Vermont for the weekend, this moon has me thinking about forest bathing. Shinrin-yoku is the Japanese idea of taking a "bath" in the forest atmosphere. Restoring oneself with a visit to the woods is not a new idea but in Japan it's been A Thing since at least the 1980's. And it's becoming more popular as a method of healthcare in the U.S. too. Benefits include increased vigor and reduced depression, anxiety, and fatigue. But I didn't have to tell you that. Uranus in Taurus is going to be the era of "innovations" that represent a return to basics. Spending time in nature feels good.
Whether or not you have access to a forest this weekend, it's a full moon for bathing in some form. Create a ritual to renew your soul under the healing Piscean light.
