Happy Summer Solstice!

When the sun hits 0 degrees of Cancer -- officially, late tonight -- we call it the Summer Solstice. This is the longest day of the year. It's Midsummer, a time for late night revelry and fairy tricks, a la Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream".

Happy birthday Cancer! You get 30% off readings until July 22nd with code MOONCHILD.

The ruling planet of Cancer is the Moon. Hence the moony, secretive nature of people with the sun in this sign.

This year we get a new moon in Cancer within a few days of the Solstice, on Friday, and Mercury moving into the same sign as well. Nurture the beginning of something new by keeping it to yourself at first and letting it grow in time. Everything begins at 0 degrees, on the very cusp. More to come in my new moon blog post later this week.
