This moon is full at 8.10 Sagittarius on May 29th at 10:20 am ET
Today’s full moon in Sagittarius is the halfway point of the lunar cycle we entered two weeks ago with the Threshold new moon in Taurus and the ingress of Uranus into Taurus on the same day. Uranus is at the highest point in the sky, mid-heaven, just as this moon reaches peak fullness. This week, we begin to take action on the intentions we set two weeks ago, and start to see the kind of fruit that Uranus in Taurus might bear for us.
Sagittarius, ruled by Jupiter, is a sign that loves expansion, exploration, and fun. Sag people are optimistic, and they do things in a Big way, from parties to vacations. So the moon in a such a generous, energetic fire sign invites us to look optimistically to the future. Expand the opportunities. Go big, because now that Uranus is in Taurus, there is no alternative. Luna makes a trine to the north node in Leo, suggesting that we are rewarded when we are true to ourselves and express ourselves fully. That trine is part of a mystic rectangle with the sun and south node (+Mars), an aspect of support and balance. Even though we are going through massive changes right now, we can be optimistic that good things are happening. The ruler of this moon, Jupiter, is still very much in a trine to Neptune, and beginning to make a grand water trine with Venus. This is big, dreamy aspect. Jupiter is known for protecting and removing obstacles. The Sabian Symbol for this full moon is “A Mother Leads her Small Child Step by Step up the Stairs.” With these aspects, a kind of fairytale Stairway to Heaven comes to mind. You are being led, guided by your intuition, to complete the steps that will bring you to the next level. Knowing that you are protected, this is a moon for taking another big step towards the unknown.
If there's a bustle in your hedgerow
Don't be alarmed now
It's just a spring clean for the May queen
Yes, there are two paths you can go by
But in the long run
There's still time to change the road you're on
If Uranus in Taurus has made a bustle in your hedgerow, don’t be alarmed, ok, because it’s just a spring clean for the May Queen -- a good old Beltane shakeup to cleanse the old and make space for the new. This song is so enigmatic that Led Zeppelin fans have been wondering about it out loud ever since the band released it in 1971. You probably have your own interpretation, so I won’t over-interpret. There is something about this full moon that lends itself to belief, channeling, and allowing yourself to be guided to the path.
You’re over the threshold now. Where are you going from here?
